How do I book an appointment?
You may phone the office @ 905-985-9727 to book an appointment or walk-in and speak with our friendly reception staff. (Please have your requisition available at the time of booking to ensure we have you scheduled for the correct test.)
Do I need my health card?
Yes, please ensure your card is valid and has not expired before your appointment. Port Perry Imaging is unable to perform Diagnostic Imaging exams without valid Health Care coverage.
Do I need to arrive a few minutes before my appointment?
Yes, we ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
Will you accept requisitions from other facilities?
Yes, PPI accepts all requisitions issued by a licensed physician for any Diagnostic Clinic in Ontario.
Can I book all my tests on the same day?
In most cases, yes, however not all services are available each day. Please inquire with Reception Staff to coordinate multiple services.
Can you perform the test and get the requisition later today?
Port Perry Imaging is unable to perform any tests without a requisition issued by a referring physician.
What happens if I’m late for my test?
If you are late for an appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you. If the technologist feels there is enough time remaining, your test will be done. If there is not sufficient time remaining, we will re-schedule your appointment for the earliest available time slot.
When will my results be available?
In most cases, 3-4 business days.
Some tests may be 5-7 business days. Please inquire with the reception staff.
My doctor is not in, can I get the results of my tests?
Staff at Port Perry Imaging are unable to communicate test results to patients. The patient must follow up with a Medical Physician.
I did not see my family Dr. can you send the results to them as well?
Yes, a copy of the report can be sent to your family Dr or specialist at your request.

Procedure FAQs:
Do I need an appt for an x-ray? How long will I be waiting?
X-Rays are available on a walk-in basis and DO NOT require a pre-booked appointment. Waiting times are dependent upon the number of patients waiting.
Can I book an ECG?
Not at PPI – we perform Echocardiograms

1. Echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart – performed at Port Perry Imaging
2. Electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical activity of the heart using electrodes placed on the skin
Where can I get an ECG done?
1. Patients with a doctor in the Medical Associates building can have this test in Suite 205
2. Patient with a doctor outside of the Medical Associates building can have this test in the lab located in the basement – Suite B03

Obstetrical FAQs:
Can we get the baby’s gender?
Obstetrical ultrasounds performed at PPI are for clinical purposes to monitor the health of the fetus. During the 20 week anatomy ultrasound, if the patient (mother) chooses, determination of the fetal gender (sex of the baby) will be attempted.
Can anyone come to the apt with me? Can they come into the exam room?
This is an exciting time and we encourage you to share this with your loved ones. The clinical exam will be performed while your family waits outside the room. Once this has been completed, the tech will welcome your family into the room to see images of the fetus.
Can I facetime with my partner, they can’t be there?
For patient safety and in order to maintain the integrity of the clinical exam, Port Perry Imaging does not allow cell phones, cameras or video taping in the exam room.
How long are my obstetrical ultrasounds?
1st Trimester/Dating – 30 minutes
12-13.6 Nuchal Translucency or eFTS – 45 min
20 week Anatomy – 1 hr 15 min
